Google will now penalise websites that are not mobile friendly
For a little while if you have used Google search on your mobile phone or tablet, websites listed have been marked as "mobile friendly". This informs users that their browsing experience is optimised for their device, but until now that has not effected the site's ranking in Google search.
Microsoft is Killing Internet Explorer?
Well, I never thought I would be posting about this! According to stories now all over the internet Microsoft is killing Internet Explorer off due to it's negative brand image.

New Bout of PC based Phone Scams
Just fielded an interesting call from a call centre claiming to be "Talk Talk". Apparently there was an "error" with our internet connection and the person on the end of the line wanted me to run some commands on my computer to demonstrate what they were.

Fix HTML5 placeholder attribute in IE 8 & 9
Anyone who has encountered the HTML5 placeholder attribute, knows it is a great time saver over trying to manually load a label element into a HTML form input.

Sapphire MVC Framework 3.0
Just thought I would have a quick play around with the pre-release of of Silverstripe 3.0. Most of all I was interested to see how the de-coupeling of the administration interface and CMS from the Sapphire framework was going.
